George Frideric Handel Sheet Music
About George Frideric Handel
(1685-1759) Baroque Period – Germany/Britain
Handel is well known for his operas, oratorios, anthems, and organ concertos. In 1705, he made his debut as an opera composer with Almira. He produced several operas with the Royal Academy of Music in England before forming the New Royal Academy of Music in 1727. While studying under Frideric Wilhelm Zachow, Handel mastered composing for the organ, the oboe, and the violin alike by the time he was 10 years old. Within fifteen years, Handel had started three commercial opera companies to supply the English nobility with Italian opera. His 1741 work, 'Messiah,' is among the most famous oratorios in history. From his work Messiah, search through sheet music for the Hallelujah Chorus.
