    this book is the use of fourth finger pizzicato on open strings starting from the very first exercises with the goal of promoting good left hand position and strengthening the weakest finger. It's a very imaginative, very effective book that really promotes student and teacher independence and experimentation, and the opening student/teacher duets are FUN!

    really gets to the core of essential technique. Every excercise is necessary and not just 'filling'. Excellent for group classes as well as the individual. The pictures are clear and informative. Real models to be copied. Book 2 carries on seque. I only wish that there were a Book 3.
