Published by Patricia Tanttila Holmberg (A0.852560).This has a Biblical text, and was written for a friend who had lost her daughter at age 18 months in an accident. A year or so later, she was approached by a family whose teenage daughter was pregnant about the possibility of adopting the child. Both families were in our church at the time, and the adoptive mother and the birth grandfather both sang in the choir. It was an open adoption....the baby girl is now off to college, and the two families have been close for all these years. This was first performed in our church by the birth mother and the adoptive mother. Many people knew the story, and it was a poignant moment. This song was performed first in 1997.
