Ditto the earlier reviews. Fun to sing, scripturally based, and has a good rhythm with a slower, reflective section in the middle of the piece. Works well in a traditional (not High Church) or Blended Service.

    Difficulty Level:
  • February 09, 2008 A great standard for church choirs

I first sang this piece as a teen-ager and now many years later I am directing it with yet another choir. It's not too difficult, has a sweeping, joyous sound, and sounds nothing like much of the music of its era. It's really timeless, sounding as fresh...

as ever. There are some nice unison sections, great harmonies, and a rousing finish. The accompaniment sounds good on piano or organ. Your singers will really like this one!

addition, congregations universally enjoy it. It is unpretentious, extremely well-written, and a great pleasure for al involved.
