In meist strophigen Chorliedern, die gelegentlich kleine, einfache Solopartien enthalten und nur einmal, in der Nummer 10, auf die Frage "Gibt es denn in eurer Stadt auch erwachsene Leute" bei der Antwort "Bei uns haben die Erwachsenen nichts zu sagen. Nur das Kind befiehlt in dieser Stadt" dreistimmig gefuhrt sind, werden Bau und alltagliches Leben (mit Licht- und Schattenseiten!) in der Stadt gezeigt, die Kinder allein fur sich geschaffen haben und lenken.
