  • February 14, 2012 Excellent Edition

I bought this for the Siciliano, so I really have only spent a good bit of time with that piece, but let me say this is a fine edition! Clean type, just enough fingering included. The transcriptions are also, of course, marvelous. Extremely natural and pianistic.

  • June 11, 2007 Intelligent transcriptions of Bach masterpieces

I first heard these transcriptions on the car radio and sat in the parking lot until the end. Wilhelm Kempff was one of the great pianists of the 20th century and a composer. Both these attributes are clearly shown in these intelligent and insightful transcriptions.
