  • April 25, 2012 Weddings for Two violin 1 and 2 parts

I rehearsed these with another violinist last week, and they are mostly just great! Really good thick texture throughout and not overly difficult, though just occasionally strange harmonies in Meditation and one of the Bach Chorales. Otherwise fabulous. Have also played the 1st violin part with the cello part - first...

Solid Violin part to pair with cello for playing in public. Intermediate violin that works for this 60 something amateur player.

  • July 02, 2011 So totally useful

These arrangements of standard wedding tunes are very sight-readable, but not dumbed-down. They are easy to play WELL, and they sound good with minimal rehearsal. An essential for any string trio, and interesting to play--even for the violist! The subsequent volumes have a lot of good stuff...

too--because even wedding musicians do not live by Pachelbel/Wagner/Water Music alone!

    Difficulty Level:
  • June 27, 2009 No piano needed!

This collection is fabulous and I am very pleased! For intermediate players (Suzuki book 3 and 4), over half the songs are playable in just a few practices, and the rest of the selections offer a nice challenge to increase skills. Advanced players will likely have no problems. DON'T...

FORGET: THIS IS ONLY THE VIOLIN 1 PART! YOU MUST ORDER VIOLIN 2 IF YOU WANT DUETS. Skip the piano and get this collection!
