This collection provides flute and guitar duos with an effective repertoire for wedding ceremonies, and gives prospective brides and grooms a happy musical alternative to the venerable church organ. Many of the pieces in this volume are well-known works often associated with weddings; others, less familiar, were included for their musical content and mood. Guitar parts in notation only. My daughter luvs the book. Good arrangements and easy. She's the flute. I'm the guitarist. I don't like it so much. Half of the songs are OK but half are poorly structured and frustrating. BTW - the TOC: Top Notch Selections. If you buy the book and willing...

to play 3/4 of the pieces. You'll kill at the wedding.

Terrible book, full of typos, needlessly difficult fingerings. I really couldnt recommend it knowing how poorly arranged it is. Half the pieces can be played max. Really lazyly arranged and edited. The book might have been better without the fingerings at all, that way you wouldnt have to spend all...

your time figuring out what possible idea he had that this would make it easier for people to understand. Typos everywhere, quotation marks as dots, bar lines cut in half. I gaurantee you will have to photocopy almost every part of the this book, just to have a proper rehearsal, as page turns are in the worst places. It will probably make your duo sound worse than it is, with your guitarist frantically playing notes arranged so unintuitively. More hastle than its worth. The person who arranged it clearly has never played through it.

I found this book particularly helpful in planning what music to play for an upcoming wedding. From a flutists point of view, the arrangements are pretty good, easy to play, and all the music is arranged in the book according to preludes, processionals, meditations, and recessionals which really helps! I...

    highly recommend this book!
