Waterway is written from the viewpoint of flowing melodic lines that mimic the river as it flows downstream. There is a consistent tempo that should be kept up; don't let the piece drag itself down. The non-solo parts should keep themselves as light as possible, bouncing on and off notes as if they were water crashing against rocks.
