    Newington, CT
    Difficulty Level:
  • April 08, 2009 Great Version for Advanced Students

A bit to my surprise, this is not just another edition of the standard 60 Hanon Exercises. Instead, the editor has printed each original exercise followed by supporting exercises and variations that extend the value of the original. In some cases, there are rhythmic variations. Sometimes he has the student...

playing the original exercise in contrary motion or in parallel motion at intervals other than the octave. Some of the variations extend part of the original exercise to focus on the new technic. All the exercises are played in all keys as well. It is well worth the extra bucks to get this edition, at least for advanced students.
