This book is really very good. I teach violin and have to say that my students really enjoy playing from this book. The pieces are all very famous melodies and arranged in a "playable" way. Not too difficult, but they do sound really neat. The only major draw back is...

that no piano (or other) accompaniment is available. On the CD there is an accompaniment, and it beats me why Mel Bay doesn't want to print it. I am sure many of us would be happy to buy it.

  • February 23, 2007 Fun to play

This book has a great mixture of famous classics for two violins. Most are really short and the arrangement just covers the well-note part of each piece. Note that there is no piano accompaniment. There is a CD that has the two violin parts together but recorded in split...

-channel format so you can play either part with the recording.
