Our accompanist LOVED the piano version of this. She said it was much easier to play than the other edition we had (I can't remember what the other edition was). My daughter is playing this for her DipABRSM. We like that there are 2 versions to choose from, although...

she had already learned it from another edition.

This edition contains 2 separate scores - urtext & edited version by Andrew Manze. This music is one of the syllabus of current ABRSM Grade 8 & ATCL exam therefore I have studied several editions from different publishers (& editors) to find out the best edition for me. I found the fingering & bowing offered...

here is the most suitable for Baroque playing, while other editions changes too many bowings (from separate to slur) or fingering (from lower positions to higher - thicker timbre which is not so favourable for Baroque music). Players could bring true Baroque style to audiences easily.
