It is an interesting piece that covers a wide range of skills. the first section is slow and easy that shows off your tone. Their is a piano solo as the second movement. the third movement is the hardest that has a is all triplet eighth notes in cut time...

that goes well below the staff to above the staff. the next movement is a technical portion that once learned is not that difficult. the final movement is a fun upbeat portion. if you can play the third movement at tempo then it will be no problem. I achieved a One and an Outstanding Soloist award for this piece

If you are looking for an impressie solo for tuba, this is your peice. This number cover a wide spectrum of the tuba's range. The beginning of the piece, Come Sweet Death, demonstrates to listeners the tuba's ability to be a beautiful sounding instrument. The bouree is a...

challenging fast section that will challenge advanced intermediate student. Even for experienced players, this is not too easy, although it is not out of reach. There are some tricky pitch changes, but other than that, this piece is not really too hard too learn as long as you practice it. I would highly recommend this composition to any tuba player looking to add a piece to his/her repetoire.
