Composed by John Botts. Arranged by melody and lyrics only. Contemporary,Country,Multicultural,World. 2 pages. John A. Botts #16821. Published by John A. Botts (A0.933445).

This is a patriotic song protesting increasing government control of American lives. It represents a vision of America in year 2025 based upon the current direction our country is going. A parent is telling a young child in 2025 how things were back when were free from government domination. Our vote no longer has any worth. God is being banished from our lives. Leaders are gods themselves. Our government feeds on greed. Our nation is no longer proud and strong. In the past, our wealth was ours; now the Fed collects our earnings and spreads the wealth around. Why did we not take a stand and fight? We were warned, but we didn't listen. So, the days of private freedom have just vanished in the night.
