Grieg’s Two Elegiac Melodies, originally for strings, are arranged here for clarinet choir. This music is arranged for a clarinet choir consisting of E-flat clarinet, 4 B-flat clarinets, alto clarinet, bass clarinet, contra-alto clarinet, and contrabass clarinet. It may be played with one player per part, the divisi lines in the second and fourth B-flat clarinet parts being optional. The second movement contains some fairly challenging high-register work for most of the clarinets. This is the set of parts for the piece. A full score is also available.
