At first, I wasn't really thrilled about this album. But hey, we're talking about the Dan!!! It took me approx 4 times playing it before adding it to my "what-to-bring-when-you're-on-a-deserted-island"-list... I really love the horns and feel of...

Well how could anyone imagine that after so many years of being out of the studio as a band that these two consumate musicians, Donald Fagen and Walter Becker, would come together again without missing a beat and produce nine song that are as good as, if not better than...

, the Aja album! Well they have! These tunes are so well crafted with so many musical twists and turns that it's like discovering gold every time I play it. At first listening it was almost hard to comprehend what I had just heard. After listening to this CD for the third time I realized it was like sitting at the feet of a master and trying to grasp every nugget of wisdom that came out of his mouth. It was in the middle of "Negative Girl" I turned to my wife and said, "Isn't this amazing?" and she responded, "It's blowing my mind Shhh......!"
