Un bon manuel en Bb pour bien commencer le Jazz New Orleans avec accompagnement. Seul bémol: les morceaux sont très courts.

Great collection! An excellent introduction to dixieland and an excellent source to work on different rhythmic patterns...while having fun. The tunes range from beginner to intermediate.

  • 2009-01-24 00:00:00.0 a good intro to Dixieland

I've never had the opportunity to play Dixieland before but always wanted to have a go. This book of music & CDs is a great introduction to the style and is a lot of fun. The CD production is great quality and having both a 'straight' version and an improvisational...

version of each tune widens the experience.

  • 2008-11-14 00:00:00.0 can be head liner arrangments

The back ground for the solos are GREAT and you can adlib if you so desire BUT they are TOO SHORT...if you make a cassett of each number you can extend or double the length.. such as "SAINTS" really needs at least 4 time to sound complete as we...

    played it in new orleans....

Covers a reasonable range of tempos and levels of difficulty for an intermediate player, altho the slow blues are mostly beginner level. I liked the written-out "improvisations" because they help me understand how more advanced players might approach creating individualized versions. The backing tracks sound quite professional but remain...

easy to work with. I found the tuning reasonably accurate when the discs are played on my CD player.
