This glorious music is fun to play and really sounds great on my violin! At times I think wow I can't wait to hear the accompaniment, then I realize its solo.....well worth it! I am an older amateur player who loves Bach, Teleman, Vivaldi, etc.; a compulsive reader...

. I feel lucky to have found this music.

  • March 05, 2008 fine solo violin pieces

This is a clean edition of these significant works for unaccompanied violin. Rewarding works to perform, these pieces also provide outstanding learning opportunities for advancing students who are ready to grapple with interpretive decision making with respect to ornamentation, phrasing, articulation and dynamics in Telemann’s music. The pieces are...

complex and difficult enough to be interesting, but short enough to be grasped by advancing students. In many instances, they are a good alternative to, or preparation for, solo Bach.

As an advanced but non-professional violinist continuing to develop my technique, these solo pieces are providing a painless way to practice rhythm, double stops, and expression when I need to take a break from etudes and concertos. This is also a beautiful edition on very nice paper. A real...

    treat.
