Brant Adams is perhaps the premier orchestrator for church music publishers today. This volume of trombone/euphonium solos is the third in the Brant Adams Instrumental Series and features a Performance/Accompaniment CD. These arrangements reflect his solid understanding of these instruments, creative arranging abilities, and a keen awareness of the local church setting shaped by his many years as a practicing church musician. The book includes solo parts for C bass clef or B-flat treble clef instruments.

I bought this for a young girl in our church that is taking Euphonium lessons --she was thrilled with the book!!!

I've had occasion to play two of these arrangements in church so far and found them both to be a big hit. Harmonically, they're fresh and interesting as most of these will take you through different keys with a "B" section being an obbligato to the melody or...

a different melody altogether in a different style. Added plus - the piano scores are included within the book, which helps me during practice. Not all books with CD accompaniment provide the piano parts, I've learned, which is not a good thing. The CD contains the solo and the piano together on one track for initial listening and practice then, for performance, the piano only. Where individual pieces have unaccompanied solo at the beginning, the piano track begins where the piano enters. This means that someone other than the performer will have to push the "Play" button on the CD player when it's time for the piano to enter. I'll be looking for more from this arranger - it's good stuff.
