This is the first of a four-volume series used for teaching cello lessons at Treble Strings, a studio in Smithville, Missouri. It combines scales, ear training, and technique with familiar tunes suitable for teaching students of any age to play the cello. The exercises in this book are not intended to be used as a stand-alone approach to learning the cello, nor are they suitable for self-study. Beginners who use this book should do so only with the recommendation of a qualified cello instructor.
