This selection of eary organ works by E. Power Biggs should be studied by all organists. It has key pieces from the important eras of organ, early English early Italian, early German and French. The pieces are well written and easy to read and the arragements are truely beautiful. It...

is neat to play music from 1300 England and other unheard pieces from unknown times. This book also has the only known-to-me version of Buxtheue's Jig Fugue which is an astonishingly beautiful piece, that will leave you with a warm heart and a tear in your eye!

An old-fashioned, somewhat Romanticized collection of some great music (and a few duds): what a generation of organists grew up studying.
