  • February 23, 2013 perfect for late beginner; early intermediate

Dan Coates' arrangements of these songs are a little more complex than most easy piano, and strikes a great balance between not too hard, and not too easy. For example, he uses many broken chords which make the pieces very pretty, and more interesting than single left hand chords, but...

not too difficult to play. All of his arrangements are lyrical and true to the originals. I really like that his arrangements strike a good balance of not too easy, not too hard. Perfect for adult players. It is hard to find pieces in the range that are not beginner pieces, but not too complex for the casual adult player, and this fills the bill. Song list is varied with many well-known pieces. Highly recommend.
