A beautiful piece. A baritone solo (or could be an alto/2nd too) starts and ends this song. The choir sings 'The Lord's Prayer' in the middle. Perfect for Good Friday (talks about God's will be done, not ours) or a general anthem.

This is a great piece to show off a baritone voice. The middle section is quite easy for each part on their own, but more challenging to fit together. This section is beautiful when done without accompaniment. I performed this song 20 years ago and was so excited to direct...

it now. This will become a favorite.

"Thy will be done" can be done two ways, as a full piece or you can just tear out the middle part (the Our Father) and do just that, either together or seprate they work just fine. Written without difficult jumps or difficult rhythmic patterns it makes it easy to...

learn. The first part is repeated at the end so once they learn the beginning they automatically have the ending. I've been using this piece since it came out years ago. The baritone solo is simple to pick up and in a very singable range.
