  • May 13, 2005 A great gift for all piano enthusiasts!

This video is just what every piano enthusiast, particularly us self-taught wannabes, need to know about how to correctly play David Lanz' music. The pieces here are "simple", yet extraordinarily profound and beautiful, as almost all the pieces written by this music genius. Watching this video was for me...

like watching a magician revealing his secrets so you can have all the fun and joy of the world doing what he does. Thanks David!

  • September 03, 2003 A little harsh, John P. Sullivan!

Could there be some envy there? David is an incredibly gifted artist with a beautiful heart and soul. Not a "cookie-cutter" musician. I'd be curious, how many CDs have YOU made and how many were sold? You are entitled to your opinion - but I'm afraid you are...

the lone ranger on this one. Most people LOVE his work!

  • May 22, 2003 Lanz: an Inspiration

I met David in 2002 and was so impressed by his musical genius. I purchased his teaching video, CD's and books and as a music teacher find them very "instrumental" in inspiring my students to learn piano. His music particularly "Finding Paradise" has inspired even my teen-age son...

to study piano. Many thanks to you David for your inspiration in exciting my students (and son) to learn piano. What a wonderful gift to the world of music-to the world of piano you are! I look forward to hearing your future titles and plan to add them to my collection. God Bless!

I have to agree with those who loved this video. It combines David talking to children about his music and answering their questions, along with demonstrations of David playing a number of his songs. It comes with sheetmusic for Cristofori's Dream, one of David's best known compositions.

  • June 14, 2002 The Genius of David Lanz

I too am neither a director, composer nor concert pianist...I do, however, appreciate the works of the likes of the genius David Lanz. Have not yet seen the video, but I am ordering it straightaway. I sense jealousy in the abrasive words of the critic "John P" (never heard...

of him!); (I too am a "John P") and DL is an inspiration...keep up the great work David Lanz! Any music or lesson that DL shares is a gift to the community that loves his work! Never heard a bad DL piece; I assume his advice is also good...buy the video!
