  • January 17, 2012 two are in bad key

Only one -- the Haydn -- is written in convenient key for Bb trumpet; others (Telemann & Fasch) written in key of E maj., so Bb transposition is 4 sharps -- not much fun. Still, the Haydn is the main piece, & is both challenging & rewarding to play!

Really fun to play along with the recording. I feel like I'm in front of a real orchestra. Highly recommend.

This is a really excellent product. How wonderful to have the orchestral back-up to use for performing or practice instead of an ampty piano back up. The Haydn is a little slow but, frankly, if it came as fast as Wynton Marsalis played it I wouldn't be able...

to handle it and I suspect most non-professionals couldn't either. These are also best played with a Bb piccolo.

  • February 06, 2007 Haydn too slow for reality

There's a 20% slower version to play along with until you've mastered the music which is great, but that's 20% slower than the slowest version of this music I've ever heard. It's great for practicing but I pity the listeners if you use this to...

    show off at parties.

My Teacher is the soloist, so he gave me this to play for a solo compotition and I love. Especially the Haydn. I would recomend this for someone who wants to play great trumpet music.
