Theory & Ear Training Party books correlate with their respective level Piano Party books. They provide reinforcement of the concepts presented in Piano Party, especially through listening and writing plus improvising and composing activities. Students learn through sequential games and exercises designed to hold their interest. Book A introduces the music alphabet, high & low (up & down -- right & left) concepts, finger numbers, white key names, and counting (quarter, two eighths, half, dotted half, and whole notes). Playing black key clusters establishes good hand positions. The book concludes with Middle C pieces in pre-staff notation.

  • October 01, 2008 Surprisingly covers a lot!

The Theory and Ear Training Book that accompanies the Piano Party Book is amazing! I am a firm believer in starting ear training at an early age, and this book is the perfect way to get them started. It is easy to understand, and also features lots of coloring for...

younger students. It helps reinforce the basics in a fun way. You MUST get this book!
