Our combined choirs performed this today at two services for Palm Sunday. The congregation was deeply moved. We had a 16 pc. orchestra. The solo pieces moved some to tears.

And the congregation was deeply moved, almost speechless about the beauty of the piece. It maintains the message of the Passion without sounding mournful or funereal. I would recommend the orchestral accompaniment, since it added so much to the performance.
