As an accompanist, I love that Besig's arrangements give the piano it's own voice, equal to, but not the same as, the vocal parts. As a vocalist I love the haunting melody, strong emotion and powerful images. As a director, I love the ease of teaching and leading...

the non-professional (!!) singer. And our choir loves it! A beautiful piece.

  • April 17, 2007 Wonderful, prayerful compostion

This piece is apparently little known and underappreciated, as there are no other reviews. Perfect for Holy Week, but useful any time of year. Communicates the message of the Last Supper as few hymns have done. Not to difficult for an average choir to master.
