This book and CD played a major part in a recent birthday. I purchased this for one song in particular - Edelweiss. I play at assisted living facilities and one of the residents was celebrating his 101st birthday. He was born in Austria and Edelweiss was (and is) one of his...

favorite songs. Not only did he like it - HE PERFORMED IT. He came up with the facility director, who had lived in Garmany as a child and knew Edelweiss. They both sang their hearts out and I just stayed in the background and enjoyed seeing a man drift back many many years. He also sang another children's song from those many years ago and you could see his face turn from a 101 year old man into a 9 year old youngster right before your eyes. Thank you for making a loving man into a wonderful child for a few moments. It is something I will remember for the rest of my days.

  • August 09, 2008 Fun at first, but gets boring

The song material/titles are great but can get boring, and the CD is a little "cheesy".
