    This book provided me with a detailed description of each part in the salsa band, including text, standard notation, exercises, and discography for further listening. I haven't seen another book as well laid out on this subject.

    The author has an in depth command of the subject matter and portrays it in a manner that's both pleaseant and instructive. Without exception this has to be one of the best books on Latin music in terms of it's historical perspective as well as its detailed musical...
