ok, this book is allright as a learning tool, but if you really want to see Randy Rhodes incredible style and depth get the live book, it includes many classics including a rare version of Dee. So if your a beginner then go for this book. Not too many mistakes...

, but if your more advanced, go for the live.

  • November 08, 2003 Good Book

Pros: The Cd has very good slowed down examples and this isnt a book that ignores the solos. In fact it has some really rather difficult solos in it and doesnt skimp or try and cheat you on those. As for the guy that called this book a beginners book...

below me, he's a big shot and this is not a beginners book at all. The cd has a great backing band as well. If your looking to really learn some of Randy's solos and riffs this is a great book. Cons: Transcriptions are 99% accurate and it doesnt really matter that they arent perfect because what is there is suitable for learning randies techniques.
