Wish some of songs were a little longer, but liked most of the transitions and the ranges are accessible (unlike the original musical!).

I absolutely adore this piece. I have never seen The Phantom of the Opera, but my friend constantly raves about it whenever we sing this song in our junior high chorus. I have a three-octave range (give or take a few notes depending on the day), and love singing...

all the different parts. I encourage you to get the sheet music. It's an amazing song put into even greater written notes.

Reluctantly, I purchased this medley for SATB, even though I conduct a large all male chorus. I contacted the publisher and asked if I could pay to have a TTBB arrangement written and they refused. So, I am using the SATB. While the SATB arrangement is satisfactory, I haven't...

enjoyed making it work for my men. I still like the arrangement, however the supporting instrumental arrangements need to be a little more robust.

  • 2007-02-19 00:00:00.0 The Phantom makes another succesful appearance!

I had the opportunity to sing this medley several years ago after Phantom was first introduced to the USA. After all these years, the music is just as mezmorizing as it has always been. We recently staged "An Evening of Andrew LLoyd Webber" in a Dinner Theatre setting. How appropriate...

for the show to begin with that familiar cadance of music. That alone brouhgt a huge applause form our audience!
