  • June 03, 2008 Peggy Lee Songbook Review

I purchased this collection because it include "He's a Tramp" from the Disney movie, Lady and the Tramp. I was dissapointed to discover that the collection used a completely different key than the one Peggy sang in the film. So, if you're looking for beautiful songs in low...

keys, this might not be for you. If you don't mind transposing or singing in higher keys, it's more than sufficient because it includes piano, vocal and guitar chords. It also includes a mini-biography on Peggy Lee.

I picked this book because I have been looking for a great Peggy Lee collection. I was a little disappointed with how many of the songs are just not my favorites. It's all subjective though. The book is high quality.

An excellent overview of Peggy Lee's work, with her famous hits "Fever" and "Is that all there is?" together with the children's classics she wrote for the Disney films "The Aristocats" and "Lady and the Tramp". A good addition to your popular songbook rang.
