SKU: A0.577737

Composed by David Warin Solomons. 20th Century,Contemporary. Score and parts. 3 pages. David Warin Solomons #2858895. Published by David Warin Solomons (A0.577737).

Setting of a poem by Gavin Ewart. The schoolboy "mocking theme" (nya nya nya-nya nya) can be heard in the guitar part straight away
and the recorder part echos it and eventually blows its top in the "overblow" bar.
I only hope that Gavin Ewart was inventing Miss Oysterley, no real headmistresses would go mad like that....
It is great fun to perform.
Over the years I have performed it with various recorder players, but Angela here made the most of the "overblow" so I've chosen that recording as the sound sample here.
