The Last Battle

Concert Band - Grade 3
Composed by Ralph Ford. Concert Band. Belwin Concert Band. Conductor Score & Parts. 246 pages. Duration 3:03. Published by Belwin Music (AP.BDM03029).

Item Number: AP.BDM03029
ISBN 0757932258.

A bit dark and mysterious, but engaging for your students to rehearse. The initial musical indication is "with fury" beginning with a bold fanfare section. Then, splashes of sound and vivid textures are presented throughout. A dynamic addition to your concert or contest program. (3:03)

This piece allows each section of the band to show their talents as well as a varied and exciting piece. The intense start will keep the audience on the edge of their seats. With strong brass, excellent woodwind accents, and a nice solo section for the flute, sax, and clarinet...

, this piece is great for all audiences.

    Difficulty Level:
  • January 17, 2005 Exciting and furious!

I am an expirienced musician. The first time I have played this piece I was currently in an all-district middle school honor band. This piece can very fun, and exciting to play besides difficulty. This song has alot of trills and accidentals to make this song really fun. I...

highly recommend this song to intermediate level students who love music that they feel like their in a war-situation.
