This collection is very suitable for the early intermediate and more advanced piano student, depending on the reading abilities. The arrangements are good. I use this book as an introduction to jazz and improvisation. It works well for upper elementary and middle school aged students.

    Difficulty Level:
  • September 11, 2006 Great for not so advanced players.

In general it is very hard to find good jazz pieces that are not too difficult and sound great at the same time. Often the easy arrangements are really boring and leave out much of the original sound. Not here! Inspite the range of difficulty from intermediate to late intermediate...

, they sound fairly advanced and are really nice listening to.
