Composed by Jerry Gamble. 20th Century,Folk,Pop. Score and parts. 6 pages. J. J. Gamble #17803. Published by J. J. Gamble (A0.843843).

When I was at school, back in the 70s, we were told to write a poem using Metaphors. I wrote "The Hermit" & later set it to music. "The Hermit" is one big metaphor. He is the Conservationist, ridiculed by Society for his foresight in what the world was doing to itself. Although the piece is written to be played with Flute / Recorder. Vibraphone & Cello, it can be accompanied by Piano, although the original instrumentational type does (in my opinion) give the best overall effect. As with all of my pieces, training files are available from jerry.gamble@talktalk.net.
