I have been looking for instruction for Stevie's 'Change It' for some time. This book had it. However, it did not give the tab for the whole song, so you are left to your own devices after the intro, solo, and bridge.

  • January 03, 2005 I am a compleat SRV NUT!!

I bought this book for my Son to learn how to play the Blues the right way. He's a total beginner but he has played the violin for years so some of his good habbits from playing the violin helped him learn faster. This book is excellent to learn...

from if you are dedicated to practicing yo butt off. Now if they just could show how to work the Wah Wah pedal it would be great. Would for sure recomend this book to everyone.

  • November 28, 2004 I've doubled my guitar knowledge...

I’ve always said, if I could just learn that Stevie song, I’d be able to play anything. Well, this book certainly helped me a lot and gave me hope in my guitar playing. If only all tab books had the cd to slow it down and break it...

down for you it would be a lot easier. Looking at tab gets very overwhelming at times but this book breaks it down very nicely. I won’t say you’ll be able to play exactly like Stevie, but with the help of this book you can learn many of the little things he made famous. I give it five stars because I’ve finally been able to learn cuts from my favorite musician of all time. I would not recommend this book for absolute beginners.

  • September 28, 2003 Great book.

This is an excellent review of the SRV style. The song parts faithfully reproduce the SRV technique, and it includes the major solos, etc. from each song. The slowed down tracks on the CD are truly great.
