    Difficulty Level:
  • August 24, 2006 awesome

I too was at the Bridgwater Hall for the NYCGB concert, my son being an alto with NYTC...for so many young people to sing so lyrically, calmly and reverently was very moving. Usually the NYC bring out a CD of their concerts...I hope this occurs this time as...

I'll be at the front of the queue for it. Equally my opinion of the composer has risen as a result...I've always felt Burns overrated as a poet but what McMillan has achieved with his words is first class. Gainesville, Texas
    Difficulty Level:
  • December 02, 2005 AMAZING

I can not put into words how beautiful this song is. I was in the 2005 Texas Music Educator's Association All-State Mixed Choir this past year and we performed this piece. When we were rehearsing it, I couldn't help but cry. The song is so meaningful and...

deep. The cords are amazing. I can keep talking about it, but you are going to have to hear it for your self. It's one of those songs that sends chills down your spine. It's an emotional piece and you have to let it be emotional. Good Luck if your choir chooses to sing this, and have some kleenex close by!!!!
