This work focuses around the chaos of a severe storm such as a hurricane. The barreling ostinatos underneath and the driving brass constantly push harder and harder just as a storm would. The ongoing winds, hindered by nothing, are represented with the ostinato in the woodwinds and strings. The only tranquility can be seen at the Eye of the Storm. Once the storm is over, a second wave hits soon after when no one is expecting it, leaving nothing left.
