  • March 19, 2009 where's the soundtrack!?

My students were very disappointed in this book - the only two they have enjoyed have been Evacuating London and Mr. Tumnus' Lullaby... Where are the battle themes and all the other great pieces in the movie?!

  • February 02, 2009 Lousy selections and arrangmenets.

Evacuating London is the only reason I would recommend buying this book, because it's not included in the Prince Caspian book. It's also the hardest song in the book. Otherwise, go buy the Prince Caspian book. It's way better and has many themes from both movies, as...

well as some better pop/rock songs.

  • September 13, 2008 Too Easy, Not Enough Main Themes!

I liked the music from the movie but this book does not capture the finest points:(. For one thing all the score pieces are really easy especially the first 3, and they seem to stop just when the music is about to hit it's memorable theme. I bought this...

book knowing it wasn't overly flash, but was still a bit put out about the way it cut off "Evacuating London" just as the music was about to go into the vocal bit which gives me excited shivers every time I hear it. The "Narnia Lullaby" piece was as I expected but "Lucy Meets Mr. Tumnus" was lacking an interesting bass line. I am a great fan of the books and have read them each over ten times ( I'm not exaggerating, I've read my favourites over 20 times!) and the movies are really great too. It's a shame that this music didn't give me the same excitement. For fans, you will enjoy regardless of the dissapointments (like I do), but for others, this isn't the best.

  • June 05, 2007 It was ok

I really thought there could be more songs like Aslan's camp and the battle(that's my favorite). But if you're a Narnia person who is obsessed with it, you won't care what songs you get, as long as you have some Narnia song, trust me, you...

'll be happy for just a few songs.

  • March 07, 2007 Not bad, but a little on the easy side...

My 9 yr old daughter loves the songs, and her piano teacher has found one that is the correct level of difficulty for her, but commented that many are simply too easy for an intermediate/advanced player. Still a fun book to browse through!
