Saxophone Quartet Saxophone Quartet (A(S)ATB) (A(S)ATB) - Medium
Composed by Ed Harlow. Full Score and Set of Parts. Published by Advance Music (AV.7678).

Item Number: AV.7678

The Boogie Woogie Bari Boy is a groovy little sax quartet that features, you guessed it, the baritone sax. It has a medium difficulty but the baritone part requires a lot of air! It is swinging and unpretentious. For two altos, tenor and baritone saxophone with an auxiliary soprano part that can be used as an alternate to the 1st alto.

  • June 30, 2012 Cool Song for Saxes

First of all, I think it's super funny that there's a picture of an alto saxophone, the most common student sax, on the cover page of this song. Second, it's a really awesome arrangement; I love the way the bari sounds in this song if played right...

, it's super boss, I could listen to it all day and as an alto player it's fun to play.

This piece was a lot of fun to play and was challenging. Not just for me, the bari player, but for the other players as well. I highly recommend it!

I'm teacher for an advanced high school aged sax quartet. In looking to 'exhibit' our bari player, I purchased Boogie Woogie Bari Boy. Although the material is written in a manner that demands swing/jazz skills, the students stated,"it sounds like the bari's doing scales, and we...

get to put in some accents."
