The Four Volumes of the Bill Evans artist transcriptions have greatly facilitated my study of jazz piano. My only draw-back is that volumes 2-3 failed to list a discography. Since Evans made so many recordings of various pieces, they are difficult to find.

This is a great book to have - extremely accurate transcriptions of bill evans' trio - with all three parts - piano, drums and bass. Whether you want to play just the piano part or play w/ your trio - I would really recommend this book for true bill evans fans. I rated it...

"advanced" because if you are playing the pieces up to tempo - to get the syncopation and bill evans feel - a more intermediate/advanced pianist would find it easier and would not really struggle. You will appreciate his artistry when you see the notes on paper.
