Exquisite! The traditional Irish melody, "Londonderry Air," is beautifully arranged by Sheldon Curry, with new texts giving thanks to the Creator God whose loving hand guides and sustains us. An alternate verse gives special emphasis to family. A clarinet obbligato adds a warm, tender touch. For Eastertide, Family Dedication, Lent, Mother's or Father's Day, Thanksgiving or any time. Suggested scriptures: Psalm 23, Isaiah 40: 28-31, 2 Corinthians 9: 6-15.

  • January 13, 2012 Piano part looks deceptively easy

Purchased this because of the familiar tune and ease that the choir could pick it up and sing it. Piano part is quite a bit harder then it looks. The song starts in C and transitions to Db. If your piano player isn't comfortable with 5 flats (includeing double...

flats for some of the haunting runs) then this song isn't for you. Beautiful arrangement, tho.

Well, the vocal parts are very nice for any group. I think the clarinet part is scored a little too high - it just doesn't quite fit with the singing range, even if it is a descant part.
