For graduates of Level 4A, Level 4B is 91 pages with 15 compositions of which ten are classics by composers such as Beethoven, W. Mozart, Couperin, L. Mozart, Baumfelder, Rebikoff, J.S. Bach, and LeCouppey. Each classic was specifically chosen to teach the concepts in that lesson as well as to feature the skills of the students at this level. Music history essays compliment the music and supplement the knowledge of the students about the classical composers featured in the book. Some of the many concepts taught in this book are the seven sharps in order; scale analysis; different types of accent marks; repetitious left-hand patterns; compositional form; the history of common time; phrases and motives; melodic and harmonic intervals; root chords and inversions; pattern and sequence; "turtle-ing"; break sign; and the circle of 5ths. Level 4B also includes Mayron's Memory Helper Hand for Flat Scales and The Great Scale Detective. Major and harmonic minor scales/cadences and a glossary are included at the beginning of the book.
