While there are many books on piano technic available today, few provide a sequence of exercises for the small, untrained hand of the young beginner and an explanation as to how to achieve the desired results. This series offers guidance to the teacher and student regarding the basic principles of technical ease.

This series has value by way of providing useful exercises and an explanation of the movements that are needed to execute each technique. But the series does not coordinate well with the Piano All the Way method it was written for. The book claims to match unit for unit, but...

there are more units in this series than in the method books. The books use notation that has not been taught in the method, forcing the exercises to be taught by rote. If the teacher used all of these exercises with the method, the progress of the program would slow to a snails pace. While I love the method (five star), I stopped using this component and swtiched to other technic resources.
