I am so excited to add this unique piece of musical theater to my ensemble's repertoire. It's definitely a challenge (lots of timing and acting issues going on, not to mention attention to detail in the music as everyone shares the lead), but that just breaks up the...

monotony of everyday music. My group of 4 players with ages ranging from 12-18 with at least 6 years of experience is plugging right along. I simply can not wait until the audience gets a load of the peanut cracking, wise-cracking 4th violinist and the 3rd violinist umpire who throws her out. What a way to introduce people to the orchestra! Way to go Latham Music! We added this to Latham's Anthems of America music for our Patriotic concert this year. Psst--did I mention the bucket scene?
