T.W.A. (Trumpets with Attitude) composed by Michael Sweeney. For Concert Band. Score and full set of parts.. Discovery Concert Band. Grade 1.5. Published by Hal Leonard (HL.8724332).

Mike Sweeney has a knack for young band works, and this especially funky one is a guaranteed crowd pleaser. 'T.W.A.' will really make your trumpet players feel like pros..just the kind of attitude you want them to develop.

  • September 25, 2008 What I see

I'm not the best trumpet player, So this is a bit hard. I'm a the only girl(7th grade) in the whole middle school that plays the trumpet. It's cool, But anyway; This is Complicated & Really Fun to play, Everyone dances to it in our class. The...

other parts are catchy, But the trumpet is the only instrument that pretty much stands out; Besides the cowbell. I thought this was so fun to play; & it pleases the crowd alot. I love this song, It makes me feel professional, But of course not snobbish (:

  • March 18, 2008 SWEET SONG

We are playing this song in band, and i think it is so sweet! I dont play the trumpet, but I'm a Percussionist, which is even better. I have to play the vibraslap, and shaker on the piece and I cant help but dance a little when we are...

playing because the beat is so catchy. The piece shouldn't be called T.W.A, it should be called: P.W.A. (PERCS WITH ATTITUDE)

T.W.A. is too cool!! I played this in a 7th grade intermediate middle school band during garbage time (the last week of the year), and it was surprisingly fun. This is a favorite for trumpters, but the clarinet part is interesting too. I recommend this piece for any...
