  • September 21, 2003 A splendid piece!

Have a trombone player who wants to show their stuff? This concerto for trombone and concert band, aside from the obvious puns of the movement titles, is delightful and can test any trombonist. It has lyrical as well as technical passages that allow the soloist to shine through. The band...

accompaniment is quite difficult, so an ensemble will need to be very well rounded to pull this one off. It is well worth it, however. The triumph of the ending attests to that. Good luck!

If this is the same T-Bone concerto that Chirstian Lindberg plays, then it is well worth it. It is a very tecnical work and your trombone players will love it
