This two-piano arrangement of the Symphonic Dances from West Side Story is really fun for advanced pianists. Rhythmically this piece is so exciting. Bernstein is such a great composer. The more I study his music, the more I appreciate his gift. These dances are based on the songs from...

West Side Story, but more complicated. It is best if the performers have a feel for jazz, as these pieces have complicated rhythms that are often played in "swing". The most talented high school students may be able to performed some of them, but others (Mambo, Cool) are quite difficult. I bought this for myself! I plan to perform two dances from it with my sister at the faculty recital at Cambridge Music Academy.
